Our olive oil is produced with Leccino, Casaliva and Pendolino olive trees which are situated in the old olive groves in Marone, Sale Marasino and Monte Isola on the shores of lake Iseo. In fact, this area was known and appreciated in the past for the production of olive oil since the ancient Romans' Times; they gave to this product a great importance both in trading and religion.
The ruins of an Important Roman Villa have been found in a place called "Co de Hela" in Marone; the base of an Ercole's statue and some coins, among these, one of Massimiliano Erculeo (286.305 A.C.). From this coin comes the trademark of Favento farm: a coin showing Ercole and an olive branch.
This image wants to remind us all the symbols bound to this land and to its precious millenary fruits.
